Port Lists Highway 3132 as Route

May 09, 2011

The website for the Port of Shreveport-Bossier indicates on its website that it is “easily accessible by ground transportation and is strategically located to access major interstate, federal and state highways and the future Interstate 69 will route directly through The Port of Shreveport-Bossier.” The transportation section of the site notes that “approximately 20 trucking lines connect The Port of Shreveport-Bossier to the continental United States as well as Mexico and Canada.” It lists the highway serving the port as:

  • 2 Interstates (I-20, I-49)
  • Interstate linkages (I-220, LA3132)
  • 2 Federal Highways (US 71, US171)
  • LA 3132

Cancelling the extension of Highway 3132 impedes the ease of access for the traffic being routed to the Port.
